Eric’s roots run deep in Southwest Wisconsin, and it shows in how much he cares about his community. With a talent for truly understanding others, he takes the time to hear people out and values their perspectives. He’s receptive to new ideas and quick to embrace great suggestions from his team. Eric flips the old sales mantra of "Always Be Closing" to his own version—"Always Be Compassionate." He leads with empathy, flexibility, and an eternally positive outlook.

Bob Callaway

Sales Engineer | Owner

If you spot a solar system around these parts, there’s a good chance Bob had a hand in making it happen. As Ethos' longest tenured employee, he’s witnessed the solar industry’s challenges, innovations, and opportunities—becoming a wellspring of knowledge at every stage.

Laura Hrubes

Laura is beloved by locals as the genius behind Viroqua Baking Co. She’s also known as a long-distance solo cyclist—but her favorite role is being a mom. When she’s not with her kids, baking goodies, or cycling the Driftless, she’s helping people go solar with her sunny disposition.

Katherine Lewiston

As a maker, Katherine uses a hands-on approach to bringing unfamiliar ideas to life in a way that’s easy to grasp. Through her travels abroad as an educator, she has woven her curiosity, leadership, and ability to listen with her willingness to learn and connect authentically with new people.

Akram Abed

Project Management Coordinator

Akram thrives on diverse construction projects and has a passion for learning. He applies his high level of curiosity by engaging with others to understand their craft, and is adept at maintaining project momentum, addressing roadblocks, and fostering collaboration for effective solutions. Akram brings his skills to our local community-focused organization, supporting teams on resilient and environmentally-conscious residential and large-scale civil infrastructure projects.

Erik Amodt

Project Manager | Owner

As a former dairy farmer, Erik brings a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills to his management of complex solar designs and commercial ventures. With a 360º radius of knowledge in electrical systems and utilities, he oversees every angle of his projects with a genuine care for people and doing right by his customers.

Clovis Larson

Clovis brings years of experience in the field to the managing his projects with precision and practicality. His deep understanding of what works on the ground (and on the roof) allows him to navigate challenges efficiently and ensure the rhythm of his projects stay in time and completed to the highest standard.

Elizabeth Price

A stalwart of cooperative business models, Elizabeth honed her gift for customer service at the Viroqua Food Co-op. She brings that same dedication to community and teamwork to her role at Ethos. A former theater tech with a meticulous eye for organization, she knows that the show must go on—even when the unexpected happens.

Abbie Hawes

Heat Pump Coordinator | Owner

Abbie leads with creativity and quest for knowledge. Her honesty and passion make her a big part of our team’s success in bringing fresh ideas to every project. She goes above and beyond for our customers, setting high standards for her team, and providing the support to reach every goal.

Dan Vilanj

Project Manager

Dan brings his many years of experience as an entrepreneur in the construction industry to his role as a heat pump project manager. With impeccable attention to detail and quick decision making skills, he ensures that every project quietly hums along from start to finish.

Gabe Rayner

Gabe embodies the spirit of a proud Driftless native: a hardworking farm boy, an avid outdoorsman, and someone who never runs from a challenge. He excels in problem-solving and played a key role in creating the heat pump department. Known as the crew’s MacGyver, he always finds a way to get the job done right.

Sage Wolf

Sage is a natural tinkerer, obsessed with how things work. A trained welder, he combines skillful craftsmanship with an engineer’s mindset. Known for handling tricky installations with care and solving on-the-spot challenges, his tech-savvy approach ensures the best practices for every installation.

Ethan Pedretti

Mechanical Coordinator | Owner

Ethan is the "eyes in the sky" for the install crew, a dedicated worker-owner who consistently steps up to ensure the department's success. Starting as a crew member, he quickly developed beyond his initial role, becoming the glue of the department. Known as "the man who opens doors," Ethan is a tool and tech specialist, always finding ways to improve efficiency and support his team. Compassionate and detail-oriented, Ethan balances the big picture with the needs of his crew and customers, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish.

Finn Pennington

Roof Solar Install Lead

Finn, our seasoned crew veteran, has been electrifying the Driftless since 2020. One of Ethos' biggest conservation advocates, his actions are carefully measured, displaying his passion for the work and attention to the finest detail. If you are getting a roof mount, you’ll find Finn running the show, delivering a product to be proud of.

Bryer Larson

Born and raised in the Driftless area, Bryer has spent his whole life serving the community with a smile. A three-year employee and dedicated member-owner, he is our first in-house CDL holder and a true ground mount master! As the ground mount lead, he brings local knowledge, reliability, and a friendly spirit to every project.

Tyler McCauley

All the way from sunny Florida, Tyler brings extensive training and education in PV along with an eagerness to continue learning. Always down to be a team player, he maintains a positive outlook paired with a great work ethic, making him a valuable asset on the crew.

Pete Wolf

Electrical Coordinator

With over a decade of experience in the field—from residential service upgrades to complex equipment installations in the healthcare industry, Pete empowers his crew to tap into their full potential no matter the scale of work. A small business owner, he understands people, and works to lead through continued self-reflection and responsiveness to the needs of those around him. Customer satisfaction is his obsession. Uncompromising in his pursuit of delivering a top-notch product—every single time.

Shane Kouba

Master Electrician | Owner

Shane is one of longest-serving owners and a trusted authority on PV systems. Having wired over four hundred installs, he consistently performs at an elite level that promises every system he touches works as intended, looks good, and will stand the test of time.

Emily Cikanek

Emily is the fix before the break. She keeps an eye on all our system installs from the day they go into operation. A journeyman electrician and expert at troubleshooting, her superpower is getting to the bottom of a problem and coming back up with solutions. She is our steadfast sentinel of service, ensuring your system is performing at its best.

Daniel Phillips

Journeyman Electrician

Known for his excellent communication, Dan’s jovial spirit and upbeat energy shine through, even in challenging moments—inspiring those around him to bring out their very best. Not one to rest on his laurels, Dan is always pushing to level up his game.

A proud mom, Katie-Mae has quickly taken flight and become a key player in identifying areas for improvement within her department. She is a natural leader committed to working in alignment with her values to grow with vision and purpose.

Having served as a U.S. Marine, Brad brings a wealth of experience and discipline to our team, ready to channel his diverse skill set into the world of renewables. With curiosity and the courage to lead with integrity, Brad embraces every challenge—always hitting the mark, like the expert rifleman he is.

Isaac walked into Ethos in the early days, ready to roll up his sleeves and make things happen. Since then, he’s worn every hat—from sales and project management to installation and strategic development. Now, as a leader, he’s the driving force behind our growth, ensuring we expand without ever straying from the core values that built Ethos.
